Why CBD?

Hemp plant and CBD molecular structure

CBD is 100% Federally Legal!

CBD is completely natural, and our product contains no artificial flavorings or preservatives! The human body has a wonderful internal system called the “endocannabinoid system”, this system has receptors located all throughout the body. Cannabinoids like CBD interact with the endocannabinoid system at the receptors to help keep the body balanced, and even encourage the body to produce more of its natural cannabinoids!

THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM

The endogenous cannabinoid system is named after the cannabis plant, and is one of the most important physiologic systems in establishing and maintaining human health. The endocannabinoid system, along with cannabinoid receptors, are found all throughout the body. In each place, the cannabinoid system carries out different tasks, but with the same goal in mind: homeostasis. Homeostasis is defined as the maintenance of internal stability, while the external environment fluctuates.

Cannabinoids promote homeostasis at all levels of biological life. From the subcellular, to the organism, and perhaps further.  Endocannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors are also found at various body system intersections. This allows communication and coordination between cells of different types. The endocannabinoid system is a literal bridge between body and mind. The endocannabinoid system regulates internal and cellular homeostasis, but cannabinoids can also have an effect on a person’s relationship with their external environment.

CB1 and CB2 receptors are located throughout the body. CB1 receptors are found in the brain, thyroid, lungs, vascular system, muscles, gastrointestinal tract, heart, reproductive organs, immune system, liver, bone, eyes, and pancreas. CB2 receptors are located in the spleen, bones, heart, skin, immune system, liver, bone, eyes, and pancreas.

The Endocannabinoid System interacts with the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, pineal gland, parathyroid glands, thyroid gland, thymus, pancreas, adrenal glands, kidneys, and ovaries.

Full-spectrum CBD interacts with the CB1 and CB2 receptors and may calm neuron misfiring and inflammation. CBD allows the body’s cells to neutralize to a stable equilibrium known as homeostasis. This allows the body to function normally.
